he American economy is growing at a record rate. Taxes cut. Major companies swimming in cash. Some sharing newfound wealth with their employees. Consumer confidence is up. The stock market has soared. Yet you can’t find a pundit or poll taker who believes Republicans will keep their majority in the U.S. Congress.

To the talking heads I leave the task of opining why the Republican Party is on the defensive during this time of plenty. But this I can tell you, in order to win a political campaign in this environment, Republican candidates will have to assault their Democratic opponents. Their Democratic opponents will have to anticipate each and every one of those attacks, develop a plan to respond, and counter-attack with their own political campaign.

It’s called War Gaming. An essential task in a competitive election. Something all smart candidates do in a in a rough and tumble political campaign.

It’s one of the topics I cover in detail in my New Evergreen Webinar on How to Win an Election. Step by Step. A real life example of how it saved the career of a U.S. Senator. How the failure to do it cost a great candidate a seat in the U.S. Senate.

We are now putting the finishing touches on the Webinar. If you’d like to see it, send an email to Jay@JayTownsend.com. Write Webinar in the Subject Line. I’ll make sure you get a link when it’s finished.
